REPRESENTATIVE TERRY WILSON ANNOUNCES REELECTION CAMPAIGN
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - December 18, 2023 – Colonel Terry M. Wilson, State Representative for House District 20 in Williamson County, has officially announced his intention to seek a fifth term in the Texas House of Representatives.
First elected in 2016, Colonel Wilson has been at the forefront of conservative legislative victories for Texas. Colonel Wilson worked to protect our military bases from closure in 2017, delivered landmark property tax reforms in 2019, and provided protections for religious liberties, constitutional carry, and the life of the unborn in 2021 as the Republican Caucus Floor Lead. In the most recent 2023 sessions, Colonel Wilson’s leadership was essential for passing measures to fund the border wall, creating a felony charge for illegally crossing the Texas Mexico Border, protecting children from sexualization, and increasing election transparency. His focus for the 2025 session will be continuing the fight against aftereffects of the current presidential administration’s woke policies and skyrocketing inflation after Joe Biden is removed from office next November.
“It is more important than ever to have experienced conservatives in the Texas House of Representatives,” said Cathy Cody, Republican chairman for Precinct 393. “Colonel Wilson has been a responsive, engaged leader for Williamson County, and we want to ensure he continues to work toward even stronger property tax relief, a secure and safe border, and educational opportunities that prepare students for a variety of careers.”
Former Georgetown City Council Member Steve Fought added, “I endorse Representative Terry Wilson for re-election. I have worked with him for his 6 years in the Texas Legislature in my capacity as a Georgetown City Council Member and now on the Sun City Board of Directors. He has always been readily available, well-informed, and attuned to our issues. We need him in office as our strong advocate.”
Colonel Wilson is humbled to announce the endorsements of 23 Republican Precinct Chairmen in House District 20, as well as the endorsements of several prominent Republican elected officials and leaders. A list of endorsements to date is attached below.
Colonel Terry Wilson has been married to his wife Shannon for 28 years, and together they have two sons, Williamand Benjamin. A 32-year veteran of the United States Army, Colonel Wilson brings his considerable experience on the front lines and in the halls of government to bear on his role as State Representative. He remains committed to using his leadership experience in government and industry to expand new industrial investment and competitive career training within our district and our state, while lowering the burden on taxpayers.
